No-one ever has sex on a Tuesday is a charming story about past love and present love, and what happens when those two worlds end up on a collision course. I'm sure we all wonder about those past loves that got away, walked away, left; and what would happen if we were to meet up with them again. Would those old feelings still linger, or would revenge take heart?
No-one ever has sex on a Tuesday does just that. When two people who parted ways without closure, meet up at a school reunion, well...you will just have to read what happens next.
Tracy Bloom wrote an entertaining book with love, sex, marriage, and babies. There are the extended friends who make life interesting (see the quotes) and references to songs that will surely bring back memories. There were no grammatical errors to speak of, but I don't think I would have found them anyway with the language barrier thing (and that was a funny). The characters are interesting and will certainly find you looking for those in your own life who resemble them. Enjoy the writer's humor in the quotes below and then go read the book.
"He look around nervously and was suddenly aware that everyone was looking at him and Alison was nudging him. S..t, it was his turn. His turn to tell the class what his biggest fear was concerning childbirth. How about your wife finding out she might not be the only one carrying your child."
"You're a star," said Ben. "After the baby arrives I'll drive you all the time, I promise. Braindead's even offered his babysitting services to us. He says he loves kids apparently." "Ben, I like Braindead, you know I do, but I doubt he even knows where babies come from never mind being able to look after one."
"Katy, when God made you, he took a star out of the sky and gave it a heart," declared Rick. "Then he chopped the moon in half and gave her the most glorious t..ts," muttered Braindead. "I heard that," said Katy. "Are you both drunk already?"
"Katy stood up and cleared her throat. Thrusting her (baby) bump out proudly she began a shockingly bad attempt at the opening bars of I've had the Time of My Life."
